What payment methods do you accept?
Our secure site takes all the major credit cards and Paypal. We can also accept payment via bank transfer or cheque. If paying by bank transfer or cheque, please contact us for details and note that your order will not be dispatched until we’ve received your payment.
What currency will I be billed in?
We bill everything in British pounds. If this is not your local currency, your bank or card issuer will convert your order value using their own exchange rate.
I have a payment from Essential Works on my card statement. Is that Rocket 88?
Yes, that’s us. Rocket 88 is an imprint of Essential Works Limited, so you’ll see the Essential Works name on your statement. If you have any questions about your payment, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Do you charge sales tax?
Yes, British sales tax is included in the prices shown. There is no tax on books, but we do have to include sales tax on ebooks and on delivery.
Where do you ship to?
We ship to most countries including the US, and the entire EU. You can choose your delivery country from the drop-down menu when you check out.
What about delivery costs?
We calculate delivery costs according to your shipping address, and these are added to your order at checkout. In most cases, we’ll be able to offer you a choice of carrier so you can choose the option that suits you best. For a quick and reliable delivery, we strongly recommend you choose a trackable courier option over a postal delivery.
When will I receive my order?
This depends on what you order, where you live, and the delivery service you choose. Some items in our store are preorders, so won’t be sent immediately. You’ll find this indicated on the product page and in your cart summary.
How can I track my order?
We’ll send you an email confirmation of your order as soon as we receive it. For physical items, we’ll also email shipping information as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. If you’ve chosen a trackable courier delivery, we will also give you the tracking number. Please note that tracking information is not available for postal deliveries. If you don’t receive our email updates, please check your trash or junk mail. If you’re still having difficulties, please contact us.
I’ve bought a digital product. How can I download it?
Once we’ve received your order, you will be sent an email containing a link to download your digital product. You should receive this within a few minutes of ordering, so if you don’t get it please check that it hasn’t landed in your trash or junk mail folder in error. If you still can’t find it, please contact us for further assistance.
